Megabass POPMAX — 3-1/4" Topwater Popper

A Yuki Ito hand-carved original, turned into one of the most refined poppers in bass fishing.

The POPMAX chugs, spits and roll-walks on the same cast, which is what makes it a real one on the Big O when fish are pushing bait up top. Early mornings along the outside grass lines and on shallow points, work it fast — six water intakes feed an internal chamber that keeps the bait from skipping out when you speed it up. Pause it and the head lifts to survey, which is usually right when it gets eaten.

• Gill system with six water intakes and an internal water chamber for lifelike bubbles and chugging action
• Lower chamber acts like a lip, keeping the bait grounded so it can be worked fast
• Roll-walks dynamically with gentle rod-tip action — popper and dog-walker in one bait
• Raises its head on the pause as water flows out of the chamber
• Based on a Yuki Ito hand-carved original
