CAST X12 is a 12-strand woven braid made with a high-precision manufacturing process, and CAST says the thin, strong build gives up to 15–20% longer casts. It carries a water-repellent treatment to cut friction. That makes it a line for long, quiet presentations to bass in clear or heavily pressured water, which is the kind of fishing you run into on Lake Okeechobee's pressured stretches. Spooling note: because X12 is so thin, the 12 lb and 20 lb 150 yd spools should be used with monofilament backing on 2500-size and larger spinning reels. 150 yards may not completely fill the spool on its own.
